Are our pristine parks in peril...read on and lets discuss what you know!

The article below is copied from the Editorial section Letter etc. in the Calgary Herald Monday November 22, 2010. Letter written by Jason Rogers of Banff

"Albertans who value their parks should be deeply concerned with Bill 29, which the government is quickly trying to push into law before the end of this month. Bill 29 would see cherished protected areas reclassified, stripped of their current protections and zoned for potentially inappropriate activities or developments, not… Continue

Steve, glad you enjoyed the bear pictures. The bears on the North Coast are much better fed and hence far more polite and tolerant of people than the inland or Rockies grizzlies. We were able to get close enough (safely) to use a 200 mm lens (on my digital slr this is equivalent to a 300 mm lens on film). I used a Pentax 80-200 f2.8 star series lens on a pentax k20 dslr body for all of the pictures I posted. I also use a pentax 300mm f4 star series prime lense for longer shots but it was actually too much for many of the shots on this trip.

Hi Kurtis,
Yes, your images are great...thank-you!

I look forward to seeing you soon.

By the way, If you were willing to sell some of your shots, I am sure we would have a market for them in the store. Let me know when you get a chance.
